Raccoon invaaaaasion!!

My sister has been feeding this adorable alley cat-- yes, alley cat-- for a couple weeks now. She went away to Miami for the holiday weekend, apparently so did the alley cat. I went to put food out for the cutie this evening and no more than 20 minutes later my brother's girlfriend hears something hit against our front door. She thought it was the alley cat but when she looked out the window she saw that it was a raccoon. I didn't believe her. So, I ran downstairs to do my investigation. It indeed was a huge ass raccoon eating the poor alley cat's food. Poor Mysterious (the alley cat) =(

Documentary: pt1

So, my summer is starting off pretty relaxing. I've been working day in and day out on my next project. So, I've pretty much been in my room all day, everyday. Recording in my make shift studio and occasionally taking pictures of myself, lol. Cleaned my room earlier this week and found the blue snowball microphone that jump started my whole career back in 2007. Tried to use it with my Macbook, and it worked! Didn't do anything but play around in garageband, though. (By the way, if anybody out there has the cure for oily skin.. holla at me)

Since, the weather's beginning to be really pleasant I decided to sit outside in my backyard and bask in it. =)

To Grow or Not to Grow

So, ive been rockin my short cut for about 3 years now. Last summer i shaved one side of my hair off and dyed a couple front pieces turquoise and purple. Since then it has grown back and I just keep cutting the same side, not the shaven look though. Anyway, I think i wanna grow it out. But i'm so capricious so i'll probably change my mind. But! as of right now, i've decided that im not gonna cut my hair for the entire summer. Right now, my hair is long at the top and the front and shorter on the sides and in the back. For the past hour ive been combing my hair different ways to see which way I wanted to rock it best this season. I came up with this little bob look. It's cute, not really me though. Can't wait to see how this pans out (sarcasm).

Could it be that I'm falling in love?

Okay, so that title may not have anything to do with what I'm about to write. NYC based artist Theophilus London is really starting to become another one of my favorite [artists]. I love how he doesn't limit himself. He gives me the idea that you don't have to do hip hop just because you're a rapper. You can be a rapper and do pop, rock, hell, even country! Okay, so maybe I'm stretchin it a bit. But, i kinda feel like i fell in love overnight not just with his music but with him as an artist. I definitely would love to work with him! Yeah, i'm hip hop but i'm pop, rock, rnb, neo-soul, and jazz as well. Here's Theo doin his thing in Paris on his European tour:

It's my blog

The thing about my blog is i dont blog everything and i pretty much dont give a shyt that i dont blog everything lol. like, I see stuff on the net or when im out and about that i think are cool but i don't take the time to make a post about it. although im a writer, i dont write much lol. iono, its just my steelo. but uhh lets see.

today was a good day, i finally got my first track for The Black Madonna Soundtrack done, well the reference anyway, but it's hot and i cant wait to work on the rest of the project. talked to my boo, ran to the store for mom dukes, watched some television, recorded a freestyle that i think ima put up either later on tonight or tomorrow, facebook chatted with some folks, and now im eatin this delicious shrimp pasta that i whipped together myself =)

now, for a personal, personal thought:

*sigh* its a lot of people out here. its a lot of people out here tryna do the same thing. but dont get me wrong, im not complaining or just now coming to that epiphany. just observing. and ive always had the statement stuck in my head that there's always somebody better than the next person (or somethin like that). i heard it from one of my teachers from grade school. but its damn true. meaning there's always gonna be someone out there better than me. and i dont like that shyt one bit! lol (im serious, though) as a capricorn its in me to always strive to be better than the next person. but anyway (before i go off on a rant) i just be thinkin. like, at the moment i feel like im puttin my career in my audience's hands and hope that it handles it well. i just be wantin to go to sleep to wake up to fame the next morning, you know? but im not ignorant, i know it takes hardwork to achieve my goal. after all, you appreciate somethin more when you really work hard for it.

im 21. young? yes. dumb? no. but it is some dumb f_cks out here. (sorry for the foul language). im just tryna take the necessary steps to get where i wanna go and be where i wanna be. i just wonder sometimes: how do these celebrities obtain that spotlight? how do they earn their fame?

nowadays it seems like you dont have to do much to gain fame, for a female anyway. either put a rapper on blast, have an affair with an athlete, or show some ass for a little bit of cash. (this is the type of shyt i be thinkin about)

and thats why its my blog.
