I hate when I see that on twitter for some reason but since I'm out of school for more than a month and have a shit load of time to get some music done I had to give this post that title. (Was that a run-on sentence?) Anyway ... yes, yes, YES! I went to the studio today to work on some music for my EP and I must say I am ecstatic!! I'm amped as hell shawty lol ... I got a song done today that could be the possible single for my next project. The way it came out got me so excited to work on the rest of the project.. AAHH! I can't wait!!

I still haven't set a date yet for the release but just know it's coming soon!

I feel like I'm not like the rest, so I prefer not to be categorized.Yes, I am an emcee (tis true) ... but I'm more than just rhythmic language. I am an artist. I hold back for the sake of embarrassment. But ... that shit has got to stop. I watch videos of greats and soon-to-be legends like Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill, Francis and the Lights, Florence and the Machine, Erykah Badu, Michael Jackson, Little Dragon and see that although they do/did music as everybody else, everyone else didn't/don't do music like them. It's the innate, raw, and natural artistry that a lot of mainstream artists of today lack. Now, if you want to hear real music you have to search wide and dig deep. Or sometimes it's right in front of you and you just choose to ignore it through selective perception. So ... from extensive self-evaluation and self-realization ... I've decided to change my perspective. I'm not sure if my fans will understand it but hopefully they'll still support. I've decided to look elsewhere for influence and inspiration. It's needed. Not for the sake of being noticed. But for the sake of sanity.

F I N A L S !!!

A week ago I thought, "Thank God I only have two more weeks left in school! This should be easy and fly right by ..." I got that allll wrong lol. Well, the first half of the week that just passed wasn't that bad because most of my classes were cancelled. But then Thursday rolled around ... actually it started Wednesday night. I'm in this Advance Store Development class where we have to simulate opening a new store. The idea sounds nice, right? That's what I thought too on the first day. Long story short ... I woke up 11:30am on thursday and didn't go to sleep until 8:45am the next day. I also had a test the next day which I didn't study for prior to this day so I got at least an hour's worth, maybe 40min of sleep in before the test. smh ... i'm just glad it's over. Oh and that simulation thing was no joke. it was the most painstaking assignment, besides developing a 6-month buying plan, i've had yet!

It's all good though. Only things left to do are recite a special occasion speech next tuesday and take two more finals ..

and then on friday I get my Cho-Cho!!!!!!!! (that's the name i'm gonna give my miniature pug puppy) ahhhhh! CANT WAIT! ^_^

btw, according to some website for puppy names Cho-Cho means butterfly in Japanese :D
